I grew up watching my parents work. My dad went from dishwasher to GM to owner. My mom waited tables until her body couldn’t anymore. They didn’t have much, but they knew how to work. For their people. That’s where I learned leadership means showing up.
Most people confuse busy with building.
You can work hard and still fail. You can care deeply and still lose people. You can have the best intentions and still watch everything fall apart. You know why? Because effort alone doesn’t fix broken systems.
I’ve worked in environments where people depend on each other—where one miscommunication cascades into chaos, where unclear expectations kill momentum, where bad design makes good people burn out.
But I’ve also seen the opposite. When people actually know what’s expected. When roles make sense. When systems work for people instead of against them—everything expands. Fast.
You can’t generously lead people through a broken system.
From 2016 to 2019, I worked on political campaigns. High pressure with real stakes, and somehow our team's were barely holding it together.
Now I manage multiple businesses simultaneously, all while raising three girls ranging toddler to teen. I learned to master complexity the old fashion way… by living it.
My life is layered, and so are the businesses I work with. I learned to master challenges the old fashion way… by living through them.
But complexity doesn’t overwhelm me. It sharpens me.
My brain naturally zooms out and recognizes patterns quickly. I’ve become highly skilled over the years at spotting the difference between a people-problem and a systems-problem, and designing a highly executable plan for success.
